Company history

The Los Angeles Ladder Company, which was established in 1883, is considered to be the beginning of our lengthy and glorious past. Over the course of the subsequent few decades, they produced a variety of items made of wood, including surfboards, step stools, ironing boards, and fire ladders.

The Los Angeles Ladder Company ultimately merged with the ALAD Ladder Company, and by the late 1970s, the company had evolved into the entity that we are today as a result of this merger. Since that time, we have established ourselves as a leading company in this sector by developing extensive product lines of high-quality fixed access, library, loft, fire, and special purpose ladders, in addition to platforms, cages, and stepstools.

Our committed and skilled ladder craftsmen are a scarce breed; some of them have been with the company for three decades or more, and several of them have been with the company since the days when it was known as the Los Angeles Ladder Company or ALAD.
